PROGRAMMES
Programme Officer — Environmental Sustainability
Support delivery of NSADMP Phase II across coastal districts, including field coordination, community liaison, and GIS data verification.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Development Studies, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant field programme experience
- Proficiency in Bengali (written and spoken); English working level
- Willingness to travel to field sites (up to 40% of time)
RESEARCH & EVIDENCE
Research Analyst — Socio-Economic Studies
Contribute to CHRSD's socio-economic research agenda, including survey design, data analysis, and co-authoring of research papers and policy briefs.
Key Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field
- Strong quantitative skills (STATA, R, or Python)
- Experience with household surveys or longitudinal data
- Track record of research writing (samples required at application)
HUMAN RIGHTS & LEGAL AID
Field Coordinator — Human Rights Programme
Coordinate CHRSD's human rights monitoring, community legal literacy workshops, and case referral system across northern Bangladesh.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Law, Social Work, or Human Rights
- 3+ years of field-based NGO experience
- Understanding of Bangladesh legal aid system
- Community mobilisation experience
TECHNOLOGY & DIGITAL GOVERNANCE
Digital Systems Officer — SDAMSMP
Provide technical support for the Smart Digital Attendance Management System across government primary schools — including user training, data management, and system troubleshooting.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with database management and MIS systems
- Strong training and communication skills
- Experience working with government partners is an advantage
EARLY CAREER
Internship programme
CHRSD runs a rolling internship programme for students and recent graduates who want to build practical experience in development research and community programmes. Interns are supervised, paid a monthly stipend, and — where appropriate — credited as co-contributors on research outputs.
