Verified Survival Rate Optimisation in Tropical Reforestation through GIS Tagging and NDVI Remote Sensing: Evidence from Bangladesh

10.48550/chrsd.2026.0051

CHRSD Climate Research Unit; Nevronus Systems GIS Division

Quasi-experimental; satellite imagery analysis; field audit cross-validation

This paper evaluates the impact of GIS-tagged planting combined with bi-monthly NDVI satellite monitoring on reforestation survival rates in Bangladesh's delta region. The Sonaimuri pilot achieved a 94.2% 30-day survival rate against a national unverified baseline of 40–55%. The study validates NDVI thresholds as a scalable early-warning mechanism for community reforestation programmes.

Uncorrected Refractive Error Prevalence among Sewing Operators in Bangladesh's Ready-Made Garment Sector: A Baseline Cross-Sectional Study

10.48550/chrsd.2026.0047

CHRSD Clinical Research Team; Lunera Optical Research; Nevronus Systems

Cross-sectional; stratified random sample (n=847); AI-assisted diagnostic pipeline

A cross-sectional baseline study of 847 sewing operators in a Dhaka EPZ garment factory found 61.3% with clinically significant uncorrected refractive errors. AI-assisted computer vision diagnostics achieved diagnostic concordance of 94.7% against optometrist reference standard. This paper establishes the first factory-level baseline for refractive error burden in Bangladesh's RMG sector.

Administrative Efficiency Gains from Biometric Attendance Systems in Government Primary Schools: A Pilot Study from Dhaka District

10.48550/chrsd.2026.0039

CHRSD Digital Governance Unit; MoPME Research Cell

Pre-post comparative design; matched control (n=951 schools); headmaster survey

This pilot study documents a 76.6% reduction in headmaster attendance administration time following deployment of the Nevronus biometric attendance system across 951 Dhaka District schools. Attendance data transmission lag fell from 3–5 days to under 4 hours. A 2.3% anomaly-flagging rate for attendance patterns provides a basis for estimating ghost-teacher incidence.

Carbon Sequestration Modelling for Native Species Plantations in Bangladesh's Coastal Delta Zone

10.48550/chrsd.2026.0031

CHRSD Climate Research Unit; Bangladesh Forest Research Institute

Allometric biomass equations; species-specific carbon stock tables; remote sensing validation

Using species-specific allometric equations calibrated to coastal delta conditions, this paper models the 20-year carbon sequestration potential of the five priority species planted under NSADMP. Koroch and Hijal demonstrate the highest coastal delta carbon density at 4.8 and 4.2 tC/ha respectively at maturity. Findings support NSADMP's eligibility for Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) registration.

Socio-Economic Impact of Corrective Eyewear on Garment Worker Productivity: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

10.48550/chrsd.2026.0022

CHRSD Social Research Unit

Systematic review (PRISMA protocol); meta-analysis of 12 studies including PROSPER II, VisionSpring, and THRIVE

This systematic review and meta-analysis of 12 studies finds consistent evidence of 6–33% productivity gains following corrective eyewear provision to manufacturing workers in low- and middle-income countries. THRIVE study data from Bangladesh (33.4% income gain) provides the strongest local evidence. Pooled ROI estimate across studies: 3.1× at 6 months.
